Here we are, almost 5 months from my last post on exercise and once again I’m ‘restarting’ my exercise engine. It has been a hectic few months. I’ve had a severe cold and a hacking cough that won’t go away (get this: I might have ‘exercise induced asthma’; had a tight chest after a bike ride that didn’t go away in a couple of hours, as it has in the past; that led into severe cold, sore throat, then this hacking cough and trouble breathing) … Excuses, excuses.
So here I was today, determined that I was going jogging. I wanted to go late so it wouldn’t be so hot, humid and laden with pollen. I was getting my clothes on when I realized that it was still raining. So I finished getting dressed and since I hadn’t heard thunder since about 4 pm (it was now 7:15) I figured I’d be safe. It was quite nice. It wasn’t pouring, no cars and I just felt really good. By the time I finished the sun was coming out. I jogged for 20 minutes and felt great. Now the trick is to keep it slow and steady.
I may also emulate my friend Roseanne who does 10 minutes stints of exercise and she has lost 18 lbs. Anyone can do 10 minutes of movement a few times during the day. Baby steps as always :)

Good for you Tami...I was glad I shared my story with you today. I hope it helped. Thank you for mentioning my name in your blog. That was motivation enough for me. lol. I just got through doing wall pushups and then jogging in place...Now I can go to bed feeling I did something good...
I geuss we all motivate each other by sharing experiences. Do you sleep well after exercising right before bed? You go to bed about the time I do... do you also sleep-in when given the opportunity??? :)
